DANA ZOBS

Executive Chef & Owner

Dana has over 24 years in the food industry starting her career at a gourmet market in Washington D.C., emphasizing quality ingredients. Dana earned a hospitality degree from the University of Denver and moved to Crested Butte in 1992, managing the sushi bar and pastry kitchen at Lil's for seven years. In 2002, she relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, gaining extensive culinary knowledge, and earned an associate degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley. She worked as a chef for Whole Foods Market and developed recipes for Williams-Sonoma. In 2007, she returned to Crested Butte as a personal chef for locals and visitors, creating dishes from scratch with local, organic ingredients.

Dana's passion for cooking is reflected in her work. Her strong understanding of the fundamentals of food makes her a skilled personal chef and she works hard to create all her dishes from scratch using delicious, local, and organic ingredients. To this day Dana enjoys cooking as a profession. When you enjoy what you do it is apparent in the product that you produce.

Ben Homuth

TEAM CHEF

With over 30 years of culinary experience, Ben has mastered a diverse array of cooking styles, including classic French cuisine, sushi, grilling, and vegan dishes. For the past 16 years, he has found a natural home at Crested Butte Personal Chefs, aligning perfectly with his lifestyle and dietary preferences. Ben's approach to eating mirrors his culinary philosophy—predominantly vegetable-based with a mindful inclusion of meat. He is deeply committed to sourcing quality ingredients sustainably.

His expertise spans vegan and vegetarian fare, but he has truly become a master of meats; there are few who can grill a steak for 100 with the same precision as Chef Ben. He embodies the true essence of the mountains, engaging in biking, skiing, and climbing peaks daily, no matter the weather conditions.

With nearly a decade of extensive experience in the wedding and event industry, Nina brings a wealth of knowledge and valuable logistical support to her team and clients through her meticulous and detail-oriented approach. She takes great pride in crafting seamless events with efficiency and precision, all while ensuring that the entire planning process remains enjoyable and stress-free for everyone involved. Planning events with Nina is not just a service; it is an experience that combines professionalism with a personal touch.
